In 1975, K. Ronald Bailey became impressed that his life's ministry was to provide quality legal services to individuals. Unfortunately, at the time, he was a tool and diemaker working at a General Motors plant, without so much as a college degree.
So he began the long journey of obtaining the education necessary to become a trial lawyer. Working days and traveling to college at night, Mr. Bailey obtained a Bachelors in Liberal Studies, Summa Cum Laude, at Bowling Green State University in 1979. Three years later, while still working full time as a tool and diemaker and driving one hundred miles every night to and from law school, he obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
Then the real work began. Setting up a small office on the boat basin in Huron, Ohio with only a receptionist, Mr. Bailey began his practice of law. The first few years saw Mr. Bailey obtain acquittals for clients in cases of drug trafficking, rape and child molestation. Later years would see acquittals in cases involving allegations of aggravated murder, theft in office and other criminal matters. His clients have included doctors, lawyers, politicians, an ex_priest, a highway patrolman, and a member of Hells Angels.
The practice at K. Ronald Bailey & Associate Co., L.P.A. grew to include associate attorneys and in 1987 moved to its own four office building in Sandusky, Ohio. By that time, the practice had grown to include, not only a substantial criminal practice in both state and federal court, but a growing caseload of personal injury, domestic relations and business clients. In 1994, Mr. Bailey was elected to serve as the President of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Finally, in 1996, the office staff had grown too large for the small suite of offices and Mr. Bailey moved the firm to its current luxurious location.
Currently housed in the two story, seven thousand square foot limestone building built and formerly owned by the Third National Bank, K. Ronald Bailey & Associates Co., L.P.A. offers the latest in computer legal research and technology, as well as a fully stocked and equipped law library. The office is staff is comprised of eleven, including trial lawyers, paralegals, investigators, a full time office manager, secretaries and other support staff to meet all litigation needs.
